Himu Akram is one of the most talented and popular drama director and advertisement creator in Bangladesh. He has directed in more than 400 Bengali dramas and advertisements for the Television Channels. He started his career way back in 2005 and still working in media to give people the taste of new drama in Bangladesh.

Himu Akram has an extraordinary power to see any incident in his own way. He always tries newer concepts and makes drama and commercial advertisements very realistic. Himu Akram is one who started his career as a script-writer and now has become one of the top directors of Bangladeshi Drama.

Himu Akram was born on 21st September 1985. His father’s name is Mohammad Abul Hossain and his mother’s name is Begum Rahima Akter. He was born in his mother’s parents house at Noakhali, Bangladesh. Both of his parents were school teachers. He also has 2 brothers named Amzad Hossain and Anower Hossain.

Himu Akram was a bookish person from his childhood. He spent half of the day at the library reading only stories and novels. His school results started to deteriorate, but he did not give up reading those. He read all types of books, from Humayun Ahmed to Mazim Gorki. And that made him one of the best thinkers of his time.

He came to Dhaka for any work. But, eventually, fall in love with this work of script writing and became one of the famous directors of his time. His first story which was published in Jay Jay din 15 years ago was “Opekkha”. After that, Dohon, Jolete Jol Torongo, Shesh Bikele Ami, Keu Keu Eka, Jewna, Lamp Poster Niche, Ekla Dupur, Choitali Megh, Sedin Aseni Keu, Ghunpoka and many other stories and scripts were written by him. Gradually he started to become famous. Se Rate Brishty Siloand Kisu Jol Kisu Shunoita Ghire was the story books which became very popular in the country.

Himu started his career of drama direction by stage shows. Gradually he did well and directed his first TV ad Keya Detergent Powder in 2007. His debut drama was Golmal way back in 2008. His drama Morche Pora Shikol was praised by everyone and this made him a popular director among most of the people. Himu directed all types of dramas, from single drama to serials and from TV commercials to comedy dramas. Some of his popular dramas are: Sagar Dakiche Tare, Managing Director, Sajahaner Tin Din, Mokbul Enterprise, Jolchap, Tahara Sonnassi,Emotional abdul motin, Jori Banur Sukher Golpo, Poncho Premik, Nojir Bihin Nojor Ali, Gentleman Suruj, Dhandabaj, Palki, Tipu Sultaner Hati, Matir khathal, Typist, Ronger songsar, Alal Dulal Nepal E, Premlal Mistanno Vander, Hello Mr. Saam etc.
